Apostle Paul

So this is a statue of the apostle Paul. This is a church that has been build to preserve what is believed to be his burial site. According to one of my professors there is pretty good evidence that it is his actual burial site. Pretty near to think about. Here is a fun fact for you...notice how in the statue Paul is holding a sword. This is because he was beheaded. Statues of martyrs show how they were killed by what they are holding in their hands.
